Desktop Friday: The Forty Second
Photography October 12th, 2007Each and every Friday I post a desktop wallpaper which I have taken personally on travels and outings with my Canon 350D. The wallpaper is sized at a resoultion of 2560×1600 pixels, big enough to be used on a 30 inch Apple Cinema Display, so no-one will miss out.

No offense but this is one of the worst shots I’ve seen in this Desktop Friday series. The colours are bland, the grass in front is distracting and overall the subject and focus is very bland.

Amazing job… I’m thinking about putting it on my iPhone. Think I may wait for a darker one from you though…

I was totally looking for the little tiny download button that I was used to, and I completely didn’t see the BIG “Get Desktop Version” button. I laughed at myself.
Anyway, nice shot!

Yeah, I think this is really bland and uninteresting… :/

I actually think this has potential once tweaked a bit in its raw format. I think what lets it down is the sky is blown out a bit, something which could be recovered if taken in raw. Give it a bit more dynamic range.

I would agree. Too bland :/

Bland? Uninteresting? HA! I think this is one of the better one’s I’ve seen. Sure, the picture can be tweaked a bit, but the subject is great. I’m not sure what those plants are called, but we have a ton of them down here in Louisiana. These are wild, no?

I must agree dstaley, it is definitely one of the better ones. It’s definitely NOT Bland and uninteresting.
