Weekly Video Overview: 13-17th August
Media August 19th, 2007
Here’s this weeks overview of the latest videos published to YouTube and iTunes on The Glenn Wolsey Show.
In addition to checking out what has been produced each week here, you can subscribe to the show on YouTube, or iTunes.
iPhoto 08 Feature Overview
I go over a few new iPhoto 08 features I like the look of. Not a full review, just a few features which are important in the latest release. What’s at the top of my list? Events, a whole new way to organize and view your images, I can have some fun with this.

iWeb Adsense Integration
I went over my single favorite iWeb 08 feature, the seamless iWeb Adsense Intergration. Apple allow you to sign up for a Google Adsense account from right within iWeb, then you can drag, drop, and resize Google ads on the fly. Perfect for any new web publisher.

Mouse For Graphic Designer
Jordan Green asked about decent mouse options for a graphic designer. I recommended the Logitech MX Revolution which is my personal mouse of choice. Why the Logitech MX Revolution? Complete with five buttons, it’s the perfect mouse if you’d like to customize functions. For example, I have one of the side buttons controlling the CD tray on my Mac Pro, while the button on top of the mouse hides applications with one touch.

Dot Mac Thoughts
Clay Carson asked for my views on Apple’s $99 per year .Mac web service. I’ve been a .Mac user for two years now, two things have kept me with the service Chris Pirillo described as a “colossal waste o’ money” - the seamless syncing between two or more Mac’s, and the email service.

Have any questions for me to add to the queue? Feel free to send me an email.

You need to clear your current queue before you request more questions. I asked you a “real” question weeks ago, and you have been answering crap that my 3 year old son knows. He only has a grand total of about 45 seconds on the Mac.

John, your reply would only make sense if the unanswered questions I was referring too were hard. I subscribed to Glenn’s show, in fact, I may have been one of the first when it was put on iTunes. Some of the videos, while helpful, have been “no-brainers”. Most of the people watching them know most of what he is covering already. Rather than be a bimbo and praise the videos, knowing they are sub-par, I would rather be a genuine reader and identify when they are crap. Glenn will undoubtedly take a second look at the content.
If I could squeeze anything out of your reply to agree with John, it would be that maybe I was expecting to much from the video’s or something.

Thanks for your comment! I’d like to let you know that I currently have a queue of videos to answer (over 50), and I’m slowly getting through them at 5 per week in the order they come in. I’ll waive that next week and get onto answering your questions! :-)
Sorry it’s taken so long, and thanks for your honesty.

Lol, don’t waive other questions for my question! As you have noticed, you get a lot of questions, you have to start shifting through and seeing which questions are worth making a video about. Well, a video that EVERYONE would care to see.

Ye Glenn i agree with ob81, but i appreciate you doing the video for myself because it really helped me and informed me on what mouse to choose for myself. Thanks.

Glenn, your links are pointing to the wrong videos. THe last two point to the same video about where to buy ram and the other two don’t point to the videos they should do.

Wow, no idea what went wrong there, they were all fine when I published this entry. Fixed!
