Apple May 23rd, 2007I have a thing for checking out Flickr and various Mac forums online for pictures of Mac’s. Anything from Apple Cinema Display’s to iMac’s, to Mac Pro’s. Here’s a list I have compiled of the top Top 10 Multi Display Mac Setups featuring Apple Cinema Display’s. (See a follow up, Top 10 Mac Setups With Dell Displays here)

To build a good website a lot of planning has to go into it. So if you going over your incoming planning and want to increase your revenue from a site then I suggest you plan out the way you are going to carry out revenue generation from your website. For instance for a small new site it is important to go for free hosting to save money, but for a more established and larger site go for windows dedicated server. Domain name registration is also critical; think of a name for your site that suits it the most. Also take some time out to perform search engine optimization so your site is more visible and finally carefully choose the pay per click advertising. Pick those which you think will attract more users hence increasing your income.

Love the first one, especially the huge Apple matt board.
May 23rd, 2007 at 7:29 am
Excellent stuff Glenn. With the ‘exception’ of the 30 flanked by 2 20’s the info I ge from these pics is that you really do need to have 2 screens of the same size - just looks so much better that way!
I guess I better get saving again then :-)
May 23rd, 2007 at 10:00 am
Great post. I love the first setup with the Apple logo on the wall! Check out my setup here.
May 23rd, 2007 at 1:52 pm
Have you seen Al Gore’s?
Check it out
May 23rd, 2007 at 2:22 pm
Damn, I want a canvas board with the apple logo on it now :) - I also like the first one the best
May 23rd, 2007 at 2:24 pm
Yes! I love this Glenn! (Oh, by the way, I love the last one, it has the same keyboard and mouse I do!)
May 23rd, 2007 at 5:47 pm
Absolutely beautiful! I too love the first one. If that guy posted a how-to on making one of those Apple matte boards, he’d have a million diggs in a second.
May 23rd, 2007 at 5:49 pm
Barry’s office is faaaaantastic. That Apple canvas board is half the set-up.
You should do a “famous mac user setup” with Barry. He’s got quite the Apple gear going on if you check out his site.
May 23rd, 2007 at 6:55 pm
#1 is kick ass.
May 23rd, 2007 at 7:42 pm
I really like #1 for its sleekness and being so uncluttered. Of course, the Apple stuff is cool, too, and I’m guessing the framed certificates are Apple stock share certificates, being as it appears to be their Apple wall :P
May 23rd, 2007 at 11:41 pm
I love the 4 ones all in different spots, but the three right together probably make the most sense. A single 30 plus my macbook screen would be awesome.
May 24th, 2007 at 12:02 am
The first setup is very nice. Clean, sleek and uncluttered.
The last setup is nice too - looks like something somebody in market analysis might appreciate.
May 24th, 2007 at 12:35 am
Awesome setups, I like the 1×30inch + 2×20inch :D
May 24th, 2007 at 1:17 am
I love the first one! The Apple painting (?) on the wall is really nice.
May 24th, 2007 at 3:02 am
I’m just disappointed a certain presidential candidate didn’t get a “honorable mention”…
Really though, the first one is very very clean. Like it :)
May 24th, 2007 at 3:22 am
These are some great setups! How do these people ever keep them clean.
May 24th, 2007 at 3:40 am
if only I had the space to make my desk look that neat…
May 24th, 2007 at 7:24 am
Thanks for the post Glenn. Beautiful! If you ever want to post pictures of mac setups in hilariously cluttered offices, let me know! :)

At WWDC last year, there was a wall of 15 Apple Cinema Displays. It was run by 9 Power Mac G5s.

Fantasic setup with the 30″ and the 2 x 23″

After being a waterfront WSI for five years I have more than enough skin damage to go around, thank you.
May 24th, 2007 at 9:29 pm
i like the last one …

May 25th, 2007 at 4:32 am
cool… cool maybe for apple fanboys and for people who were really knocked down by the HUGE NEW FUNCTIONALITY called ‘right click’, as presented by apple with the mighty cra… umm mouse.
do a top10 PC multi screen setups, that’ll be a real deal.

Al Gore’s setup really is stunning, minus the mess. That man could use a physical inbox.
Beautiful setup Barry, feel free to email me if you are interested in doing a quick interview with me.
Nate, you are a contender for another article I’d like to run next week due to how you guys enjoyed this one ;-)
Oh we do more with our life, though the internet is a nice escape from the pressures of “real life.” What are you doing with yours?
The last one is nice, abit a little messy. That’s Ethan Kaplans setup, he works for Warner Brothers records as head of the technology department.
May 25th, 2007 at 12:36 pm
Hello? Al Gore’s? And I don’t even *like* Apple - sheesh.
May 25th, 2007 at 1:54 pm
Yes, definitely my favorite. Schweet!
May 25th, 2007 at 1:56 pm
this article is good, but not good enough to be featured on lifehacker
May 25th, 2007 at 3:16 pm
I love the first setup with the Apple logo on the wall! …Because I’m a ridiculous fanboy that doesn’t understand that Apple is just a giant corporation with clever marketing that views me as a dollar-sign!!
May 25th, 2007 at 5:09 pm

May 25th, 2007 at 5:44 pm
Cool, but they are Macs, aren’t they?
May 25th, 2007 at 8:21 pm
The “1 x 30″ 2 x 23″ Apple Cinema Display” lokks positively stunning!!!!
May 25th, 2007 at 8:26 pm
There are no apostrophes in non-possessive plurals.

Is it possible to buy this Apple-painting from the first picture anywhere?
I like it very much :)
May 26th, 2007 at 2:41 am
The 1st one by “Barry Doyon”, and the one by “m2j2″. Both are very unique in their own way, but nicely done.
May 26th, 2007 at 3:27 am
The depravities of the filthy rich. And I thought that my Macbook hooked with a 17″ monitor was the shiznit.
(Just kidding folks!)
May 26th, 2007 at 3:42 am
“Al Gore’s setup really is stunning, minus the mess…..”
You know his ’stunning’ setup is simply a tactic to lend credit to his audacious claims of inventing the internet.
Apart from that nugget of chocolaty truth, I’m kind of digging the 1 x 30″ 2 x 23″ Apple Cinema Display. Very nice.
May 26th, 2007 at 3:47 am
Aww you silly fanboys…
May 26th, 2007 at 3:58 am
I am envious of all of these!
Anyone know what kind of desk is in the 1 x 30″ 2 x 23″ Apple Cinema Display setup from mj2j?
May 26th, 2007 at 5:28 am

Nothing to be proud of. PCs have mult-displays for years. I personally have setup a 16 display system for a stock broker back in year 2000. These here are just old tricks that does not even worth mentioning.
May 30th, 2007 at 5:05 am
People have been writing and asking about the adjustable arms we used for our monitors… You can find them here:
http://ergomart.com/HD_LCD_monitor_arms/lcd_monitor_arm_SAA2718details.htm
We actuall have 3 machines in the studio (making 6 monitors/arms total), but the arms weren’t on the 3rd set of monitors when I took this shot… I’m workng on getting a good new shot of all 6 monitors and I’ll have it up soon.
May 30th, 2007 at 9:48 am
just wanted you all to see my friend Jeff’s set up…it impressed me
May 30th, 2007 at 8:24 pm
you missed Al Gore’s somewhat messy office w/3 count ‘em 30″ers

actually the multi-size monitors, or monitors with different resolutions can be useful. dragging quickly a page over to another window to downgrade is quite handy.
sadly spaces doesnt support multihead.

I like the 2 20″ setups the best. The 30″ and the 20″ seemed a little off. Keep up posts like this, so I can steal some ideas one day. :D

Hello all,
I would like to know if anyone has experience using a Mac with the monitor in ‘portrait’ orientation. All of the monitors presented in these cool photos are ‘landscape’ oriented. I am hoping to find a way to view some of my applications in a portrait view. For example, when using a program like Finale music notation software, an A3 size ‘portrait’ view of the documents would be good… Any suggestions about what computer and monitor specs are involved, anyone?
Happy computing,
Maestro Matt.
October 3rd, 2007 at 4:05 pm
Matt,
I don’t know if I can give a solid answer on that. I believe I read a while back that only ATI cards supported this feature, but I know for a fact ( http://www.thewhitespaces.com/stuff/picture_2.png ) that my nVidia 7300 (standard mac pro card) does allow rotation. Looks like minis and mac pros all allow rotation, but I have doubts about the imac due to the built in screen.
But don’t take my word for it…
October 17th, 2007 at 11:05 pm
god i love that first setup, theyre so awesome all! hope i had money…
October 31st, 2007 at 7:03 am
These are awesome, i can’t wait till i get a few more freelance jobs and get the kind of money to buy these, I am officially on my way to becoming an iFan Boy! OH YEA!
