What Gets Delivered To Your Email Inbox?

Update: I’ve decided to change my plan of attack, and lighten the load a little. Blog comments & Flickr activity now get directed into my RSS reader.

A few weeks ago I changed all my social web accounts to send emails to me when activity happened on my profiles/accounts. My volume of email has increased, but it makes a handy collection ground so I don’t need to trace around the web checking for updates as frequently. When something happens, I hear about it straight away.

What gets delivered to my inbox?

  • General email
  • Google daily updates for “Glenn Wolsey”
  • New comments on my blog
  • New comments on my Flickr photostream
  • People adding me to Twitter
  • Contact form email
  • GoPlan daily digest emails
  • Follow Ups to comments I make on other blogs
  • All I used to have delivered into my inbox was general & contact form email – the volume was rather light. Now with all of these coming in from above, I get around 40-60 emails a day. I dont find it too hard to manage as I have many specific Smart Folders setup in Mail which make the task simple and easy.

The question is, what do you like having delivered to your email inbox?
