Albrecht is a funny guy, he seems to be the one who tells all the good jokes, and the one who mucks around the most on the show. Rose is a little more serious - but still just as funny when he's drunk ;-)

You're right about Albrecht having personality. I found him funny at times, too.

I've only played on a Dreamcast once, at this gaming parlour in my city that shut down - Surf's Up. I played tennis, I think.

That's fair enough then, Smaran, I guess!

I'd never heard of either of them before Diggnation. I actually started watching it based on clips my room-mate showed me - before I even discovered digg.com. I find Alex very funny but I can't actually understand why so many people like Kevin. Yeah, he seems like a nice guy... founded digg.com, good for him.. but he's just another geek that doesn't seem to have as much personality as Mr. Albrecht.

But I find Diggnation funny. I have no idea why but they just make me laugh! I've not looked at that Jet Set thing yet but it sounds like one of the best games on the Dreamcast: Jet Set Radio. I played the demo version of that game way too much.
(note: Shenmue was the best game on the Dreamcast)

Right.. off I go to read about the Jet Set Show. Oh, and thank you for the "bearthday" wishes. :P

Who said audio podcasts are a waste of time? I only said the video podcast Diggnation was not worth one's time.

How come all these people are here saying they aren't a fan of audio podcasts because they're a 'waste of time' -- I think the opposite! I love to listen to audio podcasts in bed before I go to sleeo (I think it's relaxing) or listen to them at my computer while I chat on IRC to browse the internet. imo, video podcasts are the waste of time.

Steffan, I think it's boorish. Two cable TV "stars" from yesteryear (one of whom founded Digg) get together, then get intoxicated and talk nonsensically about a website. It's an amateur podcast, that's it. The hosts don't do anything for me. They may be popular in the USA, being former TV personalities, but I just go "meh". Digg's a great site, but I think the top user list link was much more deserving of a spot on Digg.com than Diggnation. The removal of it just proved where the power really lies on Digg (hint: it's not with the users).

You know what's more interesting than Diggnation? Jet Set Show, and I'm not being sarcastic. It's supposed to be a children's podcast, but I think it's a lot more interesting, intellectually stimulating and fun than two middle-aged men sitting on a couch.

20, huh? Looks like I'm not the oldest chap on here. I turned 18 in August. Happy bearthday in advance!

Bearthday
noun
1 The day on which the human person in question was born unto this earth. Derived from the Latin words bearuntoworldous and thisismyearthicus : Be happy on your bearthday!

Note: It's 2 AM where I am, so my writing might resemble the manner in which the Diggnation hosts express themselves.

Any reason you don't like Diggnation, Smaran?

I'm not exactly 13 (in fact, it's my 20th birthday on Tuesday.. woo) but I absolutely love it. On my iMac, it's the thing that takes up the most hard-drive space. I don't have many applications on there yet and my iPhoto library hasn't been imported from my laptop but Diggnation takes up many, many gigabytes. :p

On a productivity note: I lose way too much time to digg.com and Diggnation.

We are so unproductive, Michael.

FYI:

Pull a wolsey
verb or something
1 To log in to an instant messaging service for fewer than 10 seconds and abruptly log out, ignoring a barrage of messages from worshippers of your Internet avatar : Haha, I just pulled a wolsey on you!

Note: In Betelgeuse it is considered a blessing from the Great God, His Majesty the All-seeing Eye if you are fortunate enough to have Glenn Wolsey himself pull a wolsey on you.

i stopped listening to twit a long time ago. and i very rarely watch macbreak. the only podcasts i watch now are diggnation, tikibar tv and vod cars. i dunno they stop getting interesting after a while. especially when you have as little time as what i do.

Move on here, just two old friends playing a joke on me..which in turn is very un-productive ;-)
