Disco Version 1.0 Released (Win A Copy)
Apple February 12th, 2007It hasn’t been plain sailing for the Disco development team over the recent months leading up the the big 1.0 release of the disk burning application Disco. However, all aside, they’ve come out on top with a top quality release of one of the most visually pleasing applications of 2007.

Some of the new features this release incorporates over the previous betas include full smoke support on almost any Mac - yes, that means MacBook users can now play with the smoke, one of Disco’s many fun UI features. A completely rewritten Discography database engine, brand new naming functionality, and over 30 other improvements and fixes.

If you’re planning to purchase Disco, I have a coupon code for you to save 25% off your order - therefore lowering the Disco price to just $11.21.

I’m always up for free software… consider myself entered!
February 13th, 2007 at 12:12 am
Can’t complain about free software! Consider me in on this one as well :D
February 13th, 2007 at 12:20 am
I’m still not sure if I like this application. After being such a devoted fan of AppZapper, this thing stirred up so much fuss that it just seems to be making money rather than doing anything useful.
February 13th, 2007 at 12:32 am
I’m in.
I already have a MacHeist Bundle License, though ;)
I can’t wait to download and find out if the smoke works :D
February 13th, 2007 at 12:50 am
im in for sure. ive been wanting a good disc burning program for so long.
February 13th, 2007 at 1:01 am
I tried it, mostly because of the smoke, but I only found out that it didn’t work on my MacBook.
I’m really going to try it again if it works this time. :) AKA Sign me in for the competition. ;)

I’m in! I Would really love a copy of Disco. I think it’s great and simple…..and fun!
February 13th, 2007 at 1:16 am
I’m not always a fan of cpu guzzling video effects (think the new space like text in Toast 8), but this one seems like a bit of fun for a small app.
Monochrome is nice too.

@Dway
As far as I know, the final version of Disco also supports MacBooks.
Greetings

This program has always looked really nice to me, but I can honestly, I havent burned a cd in months, but the app is designed really well. I hope they come up with more software that I could use on a more frequent basis.
February 13th, 2007 at 3:30 am
I never paid for a single software when I was on Windows, my hacking skills helped me survive through the software needs. Then I moved to Linux, and I kept make-ing the softwares and it bored me to death. And then I moved to Mac, and I was so impressed with the system, the eyecandy, the crash free experience that I started paying for all the softwares I ever needed. Now that my ccard doesn’t support my humble software shopping spree, I hope I get one from this silly comment ;)
Nonetheless, I have used Disco to burn 7 DVDs but had to go back to Burn folders since it expired, and I didn’t feel like cracking it open. AppZapper and Disco - two amazing softwares that every mac user must use.
And needless to say, consider me enrolled for the contest.

I would like to say that Disco is an app worth owning, and for ~$12, you cannot go wrong. I used a previous release of Disco and I have to say I like it.
Simple is good(tm)…

This is a great looking app with some cool features and undeniable simplicity.
I like it. Count me in, of course!
February 13th, 2007 at 4:42 am
I’ve never used anything but Toast to burn CD’s and DVD’s, and although is does the job, it doesn’t look as cool and slick as Disco does.
Count me in!

I’ve had my eye on Disco for a while, and it looks like a promising app to do quick and dirty burns where you don’t need a lot of customization.
I’d love to get it, but unfortunately I’m a starving university student. So count me in on the draw!

February 14th, 2007 at 9:59 am
I think Disco is good. If you want more features get Roxio or equivalent. Disco does it claims to do rather well.
I’d love a free copy :-)
I’ll probably buy it if I don’t win in here.
Thanks.
February 14th, 2007 at 12:58 pm
Nice, looks like they are starting to address some of the complaints people had from the beta testing. Good to hear.
February 14th, 2007 at 2:28 pm
Thanks for the coupon code, I already bought Disco using it, and I love how simple clean and easy to use it is. I bought Appzapper too, and look forward to what else these guys release.

Disco is cool. I think I have 2 licenses already ;) It’s effects are cool.
Oh, and I was in an Apple Store the other day and saw Disco BOXED in the Apple Store!! I wanted to buy one just for the box, but I’m trying to save up for an iPod touch….
