Lurker Roll Call: The Second
Personal January 23rd, 2007It’s been a while since we last did this, so I decided to take a few moments to post and request all the lurkers to show their faces so I can get to know you all.
I know many of you just read (yes, thats you), but never participate in discussion under the articles in the comment area. Here’s your chance to show your face and meet up with some fellow readers.
I have met some great people through the comment area of the blog, so now it’s your turn to tell me about yourself. What’s your name, how long have you been reading, and what computer setup are you running? For all the regular readers feel free to leave a comment so you dont feel left out *winks*.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you all this time around.

I’ve lurked ever since December, though I’ve posted once or twice.
I’m running on a G5 iMac (it just turned 1 year old on Jan 20th) and have been a fan of Mac products ever since.
You can see more of what I’m into at my blog, http://www.jeffreysimms.com
Thanks!

Hi Gleen,
I’m a first timer here, but I do agree, lurkers can be like mime artists, have you tried posting a poll, I never did but it seems they do prefer mouse clicks to typing.

I’m Mark, currenlty a student and off and on web developer, using a MacBook. I blog on HazyNotions.com.
I happened upon you blog a few months ago, added it to my feedreader, and have been hooked ever since. I love the content and depth of your posts. Thanks for blogging!

Hi there Glenn! I’m Johan, a law student from Sweden. I’ve been lurking around your site for quite some time now. I really enjoy your Apple-related entries, since I’m a Mac geek too.
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:12 am
Howdy, Glenn,
! I just found your site today but am enjoying it immensly, and will continue to monitor it on a daily basis.
I’m on a brand new MacBookPro, 2.33 17 inch laptop, thanks to an unfortunate accident with a cup of milky coffee flooding my old TiBook. Friends have accused me of causing the flood on purpose, but really it was an accident. That said, teh new MacBookPro is great! I’ve been on Macs since the mid 80s and this one is by far the best in a long line of great machines.
My husband and I travel the country in a motorhome and access the internet via a tripod mounted satellite dish, very cool as we can be out in the middle of nowhere and always have internet.
Please continue with the great Mac related entries, they’re super.
Kate

Glenn,
I guess you could call me a lurker, although I comment once in a while. I’m a student in Rochester, New York, however my true home is in Vermont. I use a PowerBook G4, with a 21″ widescreen second monitor and Harmon Kardon Soundsticks (the clear ones!)
On a somewhat unrelated note, are there any good Electrical Engineering programs at universities in New Zealand? I want to study abroad for a semester next year, and it’s one of the places I am considering.
Keep the great content coming!

I think all of the readers here should also pay a visit to the forums, if you haven’t already. Lots of interesting people to meet and talk to. Everyone is friendly. =] And we have some good discussions. =]

Hey mate, I guess I’ve been reading for quite a while now, but I couldn’t really say how long exactly.
I’ve been getting into it more and more recently and am in the process of creating my own blog. Maybe I’ll show you when I’m done.
At the moment I’m on a Core Duo Mac mini, which is the computer I take to Uni with me. I’m very keen to get a MacBook Pro but money is an issue as usual.
Anyway, this is one of the few comments I’ve posted but I’ll try to be more sociable from now on, but I’m not making any promises.
Good talk.
