To be clear, this picture:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/wphj/344791435/
of a green parrot was NOT taken with the D50, but the rest were.

That was taken with a point and shoot Canon SD 550

Very interesting. I got the Nikon D50 a while back, and I really like it. If anyone wants to see some pictures I took with it, they're here on my flickr page.

Good interview Glenn, nice to see alternative stuff to all the Mac content on the blog. The places for tips and tricks that he provided are also very useful.

Yeah. Very good interview. I also agree with Lars. As I don't have a DSLR I do enjoy taking pictures with the 6-meg Camera I already have. :-)

I just got on the digital photography bandwagon and the first lesson i learned came from Ken Rockwell "Your Camera does not matter" and I now own a 700 dollar budget DSLR (kit lens included).

His technical articles are a very good read and they encourage you to become a passionate photographer instead of a hardware junkie owning obsolete gear.

I especially recommend these two articles:
http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/notcamera.htm
http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/whitebalance.htm

grtz.

Good interview. Seems like a really good guy.

I enjoy photography as well, just haven't been able to afford a nice camera, as it is quite an expensive hobby to get into. If you want good gear.
