Quick Note On Top Readers Plugin
Personal December 30th, 2006Just a quick little post to let everyone know that the “Top Readers” plugin will be resetting on January the 1st (in other words the commenters count will be set back to 0 for the plug-in), and continue to tick for a further year. This will give newcomers a chance to get their name in the light, and should give you a fresh start to get ahead of the game.
I am also considering having the names in the list link to the authors website, thoughts on this? Would you like to see that change, or do you like it as it is?
Come the morning of January 1st 2007, get commenting!
Update: The names now link to the related URL’s.

Although slightly unfair to the top readers, I’m all for it! Mainly because I actually fancy seeing my name up there, hehe.
I have wondered why they weren’t links anyway, so that’ll be a nice change.
Keep up the good work!

Links would be great. But you should give your readers a way to register (I did it via the URL).
Keep up that good work in 2007.
GW.com has become one of my fav blogs this year!
Have a nice new years eve.

Well I would welcome a Top 5 Readers of 2007 plugin, but I think the Top 5 Readers of all-time should be still up there. Of course I’m biased because I’m 2nd.

i wouldn’t mind links to the top readers’ sites, though i’m a little biased, as i hope to drive some traffic to my lowly wordpress blog, though i might buy a domain name next year, and really step up my level of blogging, much like you’ve done.

I think thats a good idea. Might cause some people to spam in order to get to the top of the list though.

List?

I might whip up a really cool stats page for the blog + readers sometime.

That’s so mean. All my comments aren’t going to be counted for. :-(
At least make it link to our blogs now. :-P

@ Dustin: I don’t think it will cause anyone to spam Glenn’s blog. I’m no. 1 right now, and I take offence to that. Are you saying that I’ve been comment spamming his blog? Grrr…
@ Josh: We’re going to be so last year. :-)
December 30th, 2006 at 10:29 pm
There will be a yearly, and all time list :-)

@Smaran: Yes we are going to be so last year. We’ve gotta stop living in the past now.
But I’m glad Glenn decided to put two lists and if they both link to author’s websites then I’ll be very happy

I’m in favor of having links to the sites in the Top Reader’s section.

Links would be cool I guess, although the only website I have is just a personal one.
