I’m Heading Away For A Week
Personal December 15th, 2006
Hey guys, just a quick post letting you know that I will be away from tomorrow morning for a week. I’m off to a cricket tournament for the Bay Of Plenty and will be unreachable for the time. In other words, I’m going to be absent from technology in the next week…refreshing.
Have a great week, I have some great content ready for you all when I get back. If you urgently need me, contact me within the next few hours.
On another note, any web designers want to put up some time and help me out? If you fit that bill, please send me an email via my contact form and I’ll get back to you as soon as I get back.
Update: if you are reading this, I have left and am un-reachable.

Cool, see you when you get back.
December 15th, 2006 at 7:02 pm
Have fun, Glenn.
December 15th, 2006 at 7:52 pm
Have a great time Glenn. I hope you do a better job of winning than my England team are doing down under against the Aussies. It just makes me depressed now.
But what are we all going to do for a week??
December 15th, 2006 at 7:57 pm
That’s why we need a forum, Josh! Does anyone know of any hosted solutions?
December 15th, 2006 at 7:57 pm
I’m installing a forum these holidays.
December 15th, 2006 at 8:02 pm
Good to hear Glenn. We wanna make you rich. :-P
December 16th, 2006 at 2:08 am
Yeah, what ARE we going to do all week? :-P Anyway, good luck!
@ Smaran & Glenn: A forum would be sweet! Sounds great!
December 16th, 2006 at 2:22 am
@ Taylor: I’m going to be at BarCamp.
December 16th, 2006 at 4:30 am
Glenn, if you need some forum admins for the future then I’d like to put my name forward as the 2nd placed poster here, and I’m sure Smaran (who’s first by a long way) would like to as well).
December 16th, 2006 at 4:46 am
Cool idea, Josh. I’m up for it.
I would appreciate it if the forums aren’t called ‘Glenn Wolsey Forums’, though. No offence Glenn, but a creative name would be welcome. Not that Glenn Wolsey isn’t creative, it’s just not a name for a forum.
I mean, we’re all gonna be taking part right, so why not move away from the GW brand? It’s not like the forums are going to replace this blog. And they will always remain under Glenn’s control.
What does everyone think?
December 16th, 2006 at 6:37 am
I like the idea Smaran, I have lots planned for this blog. I’ll get started next week with proceedings.
December 16th, 2006 at 6:49 am
I agree with you Smaran, and Glenn I can’t wait to see what you have planned for the blog. I know you have the capacity to do great things for this community, and I think a forum will just be the beginning
December 17th, 2006 at 6:49 am
Josh, great words!
December 18th, 2006 at 6:37 am
Oh it’s lonely here. Smaran, Yannic, Michael, Taylor, you there???
December 18th, 2006 at 6:46 am
Sure, what’s up, Josh?
December 18th, 2006 at 7:07 am
I’m getting Glenn Wolsey Blog withdrawal symptoms. It’s not very nice not seeing new posts and new comments appearing. I really hope Glenn is having a good time and I can’t wait to see what he’s got planned for us when he gets back. Maybe all this talk of forums and new things for the blog recently is making it worse.
December 18th, 2006 at 7:08 am
Oh and the first thing I’d like to see implemented? An edit button for the messages we post. Please?
December 18th, 2006 at 7:09 am
You kinda need to get a life, Josh. I say this with all good intentions. Go out, party, do something else.
December 18th, 2006 at 7:15 am
Thanks Smaran! Sunday evening in the UK means essay time for me, so I’m writing a History report to be ready for tomorrow. It’s mind-numbing, looking on here to see if there are any new comments is mind-blowing compared to my school work.
December 18th, 2006 at 7:21 am
Oh cool. Writing essays is fun. What’s mind numbing is reading them. I feel sorry for your teacher. Not that your essays are bad, he/she probably has hundreds to go through.
I’m off to bed, it’s past midnight in India.

haha, yeah josh im here. dude if you are getting “Glenn Wolsey Blog withdrawal symtoms” I agree with smaran, get a life! lol you can chat with me on ichat/aim, go to my blog to find my username :-P.
December 18th, 2006 at 9:26 am
haha, i forgot to tell you it is on the about page :-P
December 18th, 2006 at 9:41 am
Come on people, I haven’t really got withdrawal symptoms, it’s just strange not seeing a new post pop up in the RSS newsreader and not commenting on a post. Perhaps I made it sound too major :-P Speak when Glenn gets back
December 18th, 2006 at 12:41 pm
Hey guys! Nice to see you are missing me ;-)
Well I’ve gotta go ;-)
Cya in a few days.
December 18th, 2006 at 12:54 pm
haha glenn, would you just go already! or are you like me and have to be on the computer til the very last second (literally) lol!
December 18th, 2006 at 5:38 pm
Hmm… Glenn’s lurking his own blog? Just joking.
Why don’t we start an AIM group chat? My ID is available on my digg profile page.
December 19th, 2006 at 9:13 am
@Josh: Same here :)
December 21st, 2006 at 12:54 pm
I know it’s late, but have fun @ your cricket tournament, Glenn. Hit some sixers ((this is the extent to my knowledge of cricket as an American Indian (desi, i mean, from india))
Win like India did!! w00t. the forum sounds cool.

What’s it like being a ‘desi’, Indraneel? I’m just a plain old Indian. :-P
So, who wants to create the group chat?
