5 Digg Homepage Stories In 5 Days - A Reality, Not A Dream
Personal October 30th, 2006Wow, I seriously don’t know how to sum up the past 5 days of blogging. A few words which come to mind are amazing, enthralling, and astonishing.
Why have the past 5 days been so astonishing? Because each and every one of the previous 5 articles I’ve posted (one a day over the past 5 days) have made it to the homepage of Digg.com
The Five Stories:

The Article Pageviews:

To wrap this up, I’d just like to say a big thanks to everyone who Dugg a story over the past week. Digg traffic isn’t essential for any blogger, but it’s a nice feeling to see your story in the headlines.
I couldn’t have done this without the support of my sponsors, so check them out if you have a minute. Cha-Ching, Awaken, World Of Where. Want to become a sponsor? Send me an email at this address.
Stick around, I have so much more planned for you guys (a quick look at my Ecto draft page reads 23 current drafts). So bookmark the RSS feed, as this wont be the last you hear from me. Have a good day everyone!

The only ones that deserved to make it were MainMenu and Overflow. The dream setup one was very very weak, along with the iTunes library one. Move that Mouse is alright.

I totally agree Dustin, sometimes I wish when someone submitted your URL to Digg you got an email to approave/disapprove it, because the Dream Setup one wasn’t content meant for Digg.

Haha Glenn I meant no offense. I’ve liked most of your articles and I subscribe to your RSS feed. I just found a few of these articles a little weak on content and contoversial. And I know you did not submit them to digg.

Glenn, that’s the reason I did not submit the Dream Setup post, even though I could have. I just didn’t think it was the kind of post one diggs. It was more of a casual, for-your-readers one.
In fact, I know the guy who submitted it and I’m really not sure why he did. His title was grammatically incorrect and didn’t match your quote which he used in the description. Overall, it didn’t make sense.
It’s kinda cool that 3 out of 5 of those stories were submitted by me.
Anyway, keep up the good work. Hope my blog gets as popular as yours…

Cons glenn.
But I have to say, that I found your blog not via digg. I saw your flickr-account which guided me to your blog :)

Glenn, maybe you should make your digg profile public for the people on the blog. You submit some really good stuff and I enjoy reading it

@ Josh: If you look around hard, you can find it.

@Tucker: I already have it so it isn’t for my benefit, I’m just wondering whether new readers would want it and if they need an easy way of finding it

Josh, it’s really easy to find Glenn’s profile, it’s hardly inconspicuous. Mine, on the other hand, requires some snooping to find.
*feels proud*
