Need A Hand There Buddy?
Personal October 4th, 2006When I was re-designing the site and moving from Symphony to WordPress, I posted a request for some help on the blog at the time. Who put there hand up and volunteered to help me out? Michael Yurechko did.
I asked Michael to manually re-post over 400 comments from the Symphony install, to the WordPress install. These are all the comments you guys had left on previous blog posts, he moved every single on of them within the space of 3 hours!
Apparently, Michael’s fingers got a bit of a hammering after the Apple + C then Apple + V hundreds of times over and over and over and over…
Now thats dedication for you, we hope your fingers heal soon Michael!

That’s pretty nuts… but you could have simply written a php script to suck the comments out of the symphony db and put them into the wp db… or maybe there is even something already out there.

now that’s what you call dedication! how long did it take Michael to finish everything? Good job man! :D
