Comments on: 7 Slickest Mac Setups: Take Two

I’ve been searching the net for tech details on how to do a 2+ monitor display to a macbook. I know you need the VGA-cable converter, but then how do you connect to such monitors? Some kind of daisy chain? what about 2+? This is jazzy to look at but to actually get such a setup I have to first figure out logistics of how that will work (then of course “how that will get paid for” haha).

Assuming you’re meaning the possibility of running dual monitors off your PC. Depending on your video card – this could be possible. Take a look at what video card you have and do a Google search to see if it’s dual monitor capable.

i’m with Jim, all about the mac style but these setups are pretty plane jane, i’m trying to get some ideas for my next setup and these weren’t much help. as for HOGfan’s comment it’s obvious after reading your comment that you are a PC user, sure you’re absolutely right about there being many different PC cases and such but it’s the simplicity they lack, I don’t need a dozen lights flashing with mirrors reflecting more lights and useless graphics all over my mac case… SIMPLICITY is what it’s all about.

Nice range of setups… I particularly like the 4th and 6th pictures the most.

I don’t understand the visual appeal of Macs. There are PCs and PC cases, keyboards, and monitors that have just as much appeal as these.

Well I’m all in favor of seeing pictures of cool looking Macs, but these didn’t seem so special. There were some cool desks with nice looking lighting, but the Macs looked pretty standard to me. Macs always look great. There was nothing special about these pictures. And the one with the MBP plugged into the Dell Hardware… thats not a cool Mac setup. That is blasphemy!!…

My favourite has to be the 2 – 30″ Cinema Displays and the 12″ Powerbook, and what looks like a MBP on the desk.
