Adobe Creative Suite 2.3 Announced
Apple September 21st, 2006Adobe today announced Creative Suite 2.3 Premium, the next version of its professional bundle of Adobe applications. Version 2.3 will include its Acrobat 8 Professional software, the newly released version of its PDF workflow software.

Adobe Creative Suite 2.3 Premium also bundles Dreamweaver 8, the Web design and development tool acquired from Macromedia.
Adobe expects to ship Creative Suite 2.3 plus Dreamweaver 8 in the fourth quarter 2006. Prices will be $1200 for the full version of Adobe Creative Suite 2.3 Premium, $160 for an upgrade from Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium, and $550 for an upgrade from Creative Suite 1 Premium and Standard.
The Universal version of Creative Suite is expected to ship early next year.
My View: Finally a Universal Binary of the Creative Suite to move creative professionals over to the Intel platform.

Finally. I’ve been waiting for photshop and dreamweaver for so long, by so long i mean 3 months, but that’s too long. :P

Wait, so now they’ll have a universal CS 2? I thought it wouldn’t go universal until CS3…

I’m not getting it. Is 2.3 actually universal? And what apps are universal?

Whats the point in buying this when there just gonna release cs3 soon (and is it universal, i dont know), im happy with cs for now, its all my imac g5 seems to take, but im definatly gonna get cs3 (after a computer upgrade to a 24″er maybe)

It’s not Universal. The only Universal part is Acrobat 8. The latest for UB is CS3 in Q1-Q2 2007.
